Wow. That’s all I have to say about this game. This pretty much summed up these two teams this season. Even though it was not a terribly exciting game (it did have a few moments, to be fair), the overall season performance of the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders could not have been more accurately represented than in this game.
The Cowboys racked up more yards in this game than any other game all season and the defense stepped up and played strong. This is what they’ve needed all season. The trick here is to see if they can keep it up. They just came off of two mediocre performances and this is the boost they needed I think to put some momentum into the rest of the season.
The Raiders, on the other hand, have absolutely no momentum whatsoever. Even though they came into this game with a victory over the Bengals on Sunday, they just could not seem to get things going. They never even made it across the 50 yard line in the first half. I do not think these two teams seasons could have been summed up more than in yesterday’s game. Look for more positive momentum from Dallas and more failure from Oakland for the remainder of the season.
Those of you who purchased our play on Dallas yesterday cashed in on an easy win.

As we all know Jim Calhoun has definitely turned The University of Connecticut into a basketball empire. Jim Calhoun has an incredible knack to recruit and get the country’s most impressive high school seniors to come play at his school. This year is going to be a struggle with the class of recruits and the talent off the bench. Ranked early this year at number thirteen in the country is an early Christmas gift that they definitely do not deserve. There last three games against very small programs have been anything but impressive. All of these lines have been in double digits and they have yet to cover, giving up too many turnovers and missing open shots that needed to be made. If Jim Calhoun wants to stay out of the hospital this year he needs to get it into their heads early that focusing on their full court press defense needs to be tweaked to perfection. It might seem out of the norm to be so critical to a team that is off to a 3-0 start on the season, but lets stop kidding ourselves. My prediction this season is UCONN will fall out of the top 20 earlier in the season. Do not look for The University Of Connecticut boys basketball program to be in this years March madness bracket.

Last night’s match up between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears was one that Jay Cutler needed to shine in. The veteran Donovan McNabb who has been everything but great the last two weeks rose above the city lights. This was a must win for the Eagles after dropping there last two games and having star running back Brian Westbrook out with a concussion. Cutler leading the league in interceptions with 17 forced several key passes in double coverage which with seconds left in the game resulted in his 18 pickoff this season. The game changing play game when the Bears Bell took off for 72 yards and the defense of the Eagles made them settle for a field goal. Philly’s defense last tonight definitely was the reason for the SURE CALL. Philadelphia Eagles cover the spread 24-20.
